The Pink Room
The “Pink Room” is a section of the Fobia website that details what the color PINK represents with regards to Breast Cancer Awareness. Ya see….Dr Shawn has a very special place in his heart for the breast cancer awareness movement because he lost his mother to breast cancer at the tender age of 14 on September 4th, 1984 in Portland, Ore. It was his first day of high school and a day that he will never forget. His mother Jill was only 39 years old when she passed.
In fact, there are seldom any days that go by that he doesn’t think of her and how loving and caring she was. Everyone just loved her to no end. She was the sweetest, most kindhearted, fun loving person you could know. She was a great mother, wife, sister, friend and such a good spirit.
His mother was also very talented. Jill was a natural artist with paints, decorations, designs, and most noted for creating her own lampshade business which she ran for a year when she went into remission. She hand crafted so many different sizes, colors, and styles…….and became a popular hit within the Portland community. She sold these custom made lampshades that everyone loved so much and her business became a success.
A year later…..she got sick again, the cancer resurfaced and spread to other parts of her body. It eventually got to a point where her body was unable to handle it anymore. It was time for her to leave this physical world in order to be with the Lord.
Though Dr Shawn has missed her greatly over the years, he has also developed an incredible spiritual relationship with her. He felt her presence on numerous occasions and the type of occurrences and experiences that many in the world would refer to as mere “Coincidences”. However, Dr Shawn rather refers to them as “Universal Synchronicities” or better yet “Spiritual or Divine” appointments.
So to Dr Shawn, he knows her spirit is alive and well through all the numerous spiritual confirmations that he’s experienced. His relationship with her has only grown stronger over the years and led to the next great chapter of his life journey. And this is the beauty in at all. Dr Shawn now realizes his inspiration to be a positive voice in the world through a theatrical, artistic, unique, and dynamic expression stems from his Mothers DNA.
Sure he gets his physical structure and brawn through his father’s DNA . Having a father who was a former World heavyweight professional wrestling champion doesn’t hurt. But the artistic side that comes out when Dr Shawn transforms into his alter egoic SUPERHERO form as Fobia, with all the colors and designs, charisma, character, and enormous energy exudes that of his mothers artistic DNA. Fobia in essence is just another extension of his mother’s spirit and her expression.
In closing this page will showcase the SUPERHERO Fobia in the PINK colored version to represent breast cancer awareness, his mother, and to all women in the world who are battling this disease. Together we can win this fight! But it is vitally important that we all band together and fight it as one big family! Support your local community breast cancer awareness programs by getting involved in any way you can. And together we will beat this and make a true difference in so many lives all the way from the women who are facing to their respective family and friends.
God Bless you all!!!
